First of all, you have to use this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor. Florinef is a corticosteroid. Do not use it if you are allergic to any ingredient in Florinef, or you have a systemic fungal infection. Some medical conditions may interact with Florinef. You must tell your doctor if you are pregnant, intent to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. You also may notify if you are allergic to medicines, have a a history of an under-active thyroid, liver or kidney problems, heart problems or heart attack, bleeding problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, or you are scheduled for a vaccination with a live virus vaccine. Florinef is available only with your doctor’s prescription. Take Florinef by mouth with or without food. Do not suddenly stop taking Florinef; if you need to stop Florinef or add a new medicine, your doctor will gradually lower your dose.
